Located at Srisailam on the Nanamalai hills, by the banks of the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh, this temple is one of the greatest Shiva shrines in India. Mallikarjun temple is about 232 kms from Hyderabad, the capital city.

Commonly referred as the Kailash of the South, this temple is a popular Shaivite shrine for pilgrims in India. The main deities of the temple are Lord Mallikarjuna Swami- the Jyotirlingam and Devi Bhramaramba (Goddess Parvati)-one of the Mahashaktis.
